Beam Transfer Controls (BTC)

The BTC Section is responsible for the design, development, deployment, exploitation, performance follow-up and maintenance of process automation, controls software and infrastructure for all equipment under the responsibility of the ABT group and associated R&D activities.

Beam Transfer Electronics (BTE)

The BTE Section is responsible for the design, development, production, exploitation, quality assurance, performance follow-up and maintenance of controls electronics for all equipment under the responsibility of the ABT group and associated R&D activities.

Beam Transfer Physics (BTP)

The BTP section is responsible for the conception, studies, design and commissioning of beam transfer lines and injection/extraction systems.

Kicker Design and Construction (KDC)

The KDC section is responsible for the electromechanical design, mechanical engineering and construction of equipment for Kicker Systems across the entire accelerator complex. This includes fast pulsed magnets, high voltage pulse generators, HV connections and infrastructure of installations.

Pulsed Power Engineering (PPE)

The section acts as the hub for pulsed power and high voltage engineering for kicker systems. The core engineering activities are conceptual design, calculation, simulation and specification of all electromagnetic, pulsed power and high voltage technologies used in CERN’s kickers.
